India will face Sri Lanka in the first of the three-match T20I series on July 27 at the Pallekelle Stadium. Ahead of the crucial series, the Men in Blue held several practice sessions under the guidance of Gautam Gambhir, who is on his first assignment as head coach. 

Several pictures from the training session took over the internet, but Hardik Pandya stole the limelight as he turned into a spinner. Several pictures of Pandya bowling spin in the nets spread like fire on social media. 


Few fans saw the light side of it, as the players usually do light training before a game to avoid any injuries. However, a section of fans also speculated whether Gambhir would experiment by turning Pandya into a spinner as Sri Lankan surfaces usually favour spinners. 

Notably, Gautam has made a name for himself in experiments, as he even turned Sunil Narine into an opener which turned out to be the best move for KKR, as Sunil's contribution helped the Shreyas Iyer-led side win an IPL trophy after 10 years. 

Talking about the Indian team, they have Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi to do the spin duties. Meanwhile, Riyan Parag is also a part of the squad and can bowl spin.

Recently, vice-captain Shubman Gill also opened up on the working under Gambhir and stated that he is particular about the players he want to work with.
