Deepti Sharma, one of India's leading all-rounders, missed an opportunity on Friday, when they met Bangladesh in the first semi-final of the Women's Asia Cup 2024 in Dambulla.
The 26-year-old, placed at slip, failed to hold on when Murshida Khatun's thick outside edge off Renuka Singh Thakur during the fifth over of Bangladesh's innings after they opted to bat first.
After that, Harmanpreet Kaur seemed to be angry in the middle, and that particular moment went viral on social media in no time.

However, Murshida Khatun could not do much of the lifeline, as she lost her wicket in the same over, as Renuka finished with an excellent figures of 4-1-10-3.
At the time of writing this, Bangladesh are in tatters, slipping to 28/3 after eight overs in a high-octane contest. The winner of this fixture will enter to the final, while the second semi-final which will take place between Pakistan and Sri Lanka later tonight, will battle it out for the other spot.
Notably, India are unbeaten in the ongoing edition of the tournament.
