In the ongoing second Test match between India and New Zealand at the MCA Stadium in Pune, the hosts are in deep trouble and on the brink of losing their first Test series at home in the last 12 years.
India opted for a rank-turner in the second Test as they suffered an embarrassing and shocking defeat in the first Test because of seaming conditions at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Nonetheless, India failed to play spin in the second Test and faltered for just 156 runs in the first innings and trailed by 103 runs.
Ravindra Jadeja's No-Look Throw
New Zealand were going strong in the second innings, but Indian spinners restricted them to just 255 runs, courtesy of a four-wicket haul from Washington Sundar, while Ravindra Jadeja took a three-wicket haul.
Talking about Jadeja, he hogged the internet for his fielding skills. On the 4th ball of the 70th over, Jadeja turned MS Dhoni and ran William O'Rourke with a no-look throw.
Notably, Glenn Phillips and Rourke tried running a double, but William was struggling to make it home, and Jadeja flicked the ball towards the stumps.
Following this run-out by Jadeja, the internet flooded with comparisons with MS Dhoni, as the former India and CSK skipper has made a name for himself for producing such run-outs where he precisely hits the stumps without looking at them.
