England are on the cusp of losing a Test series against Pakistan as their batters have struggled to deliver the goods against a rampant spin attack duo of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan. On a spin friendly deck, England batters looked clueless and Pakistan spinners took advantage of it.
They failed in the first innings and a lot was expected of the visitors in their second innings, but the same old story reoccurred as the team got bundled out for 112. The only player who showed a bit of resistance was Joe Root. The English batter showed grit and determinaton, but it went in vain with a lapse of concentration.
He was batting beautifully at 33 and then Noman Ali struck with a brilliant delivery to end Root's innings. Coming from round the wicket, Noman bowled a flight delivery outside the off and enticed the batter to come forward as the ball spun sharply and took the outside-edge. The keeper, Mohammad Rizwan took a sharp catch as Pakistan had trapped the big fish.
England batters crumbled against spin duo
Out of the 37 overs being bowled, Noman and Sajid have bowled 36 overs between them and have picked up all 10 wickets as the visitors are on the cusp of losing yet another series.
Pakistan on the other hand will be relieved after what transpired in the first Test match, where they lost the match from a commanding position. However, the biggest story which has come out of this series is the incapability of the English batters to tackle quality spinners.
Even in the first innings, Noman and Sajid showed their class and picked up 9 wickets between them.
