India is looking down the barrel in the second Test of the three-match series at the MCA Stadium in Pune. At the end of Day 2, they were trailing by nearly 300 runs on a wicket, where the Indian batters mustered only 156 in the first innings.

As the play for Day 3 began, India aimed to bundle out the visitors as quickly as possible and keep the target below 350 in the last innings. However, Tom Blundell and Glenn Phillips looked to bat steadily, not allowing India a sniff into the game.

As the partnership was prospering, Ravindra Jadeja came into the attack and gave India a glimmer of hope. The veteran Indian all-rounder picked up the wicket of Tom Blundell with a well-deceived variation.

Ravindra Jadeja provided India with the first wicket of Day 3

On the third delivery of the 60th over, Jadeja came around the wicket and bowled a good length delivery at the off-stump line to the batter. It was a straighter by the bowler, which Blundell looked to defend, but there was a gap left between his bat and pad. The ball kept going in with the angle and crashed into the stumps, ending Blundell's stay in the middle.
