Rashid Khan is one of the most celebrated cricketers of Afghanistan and his world-class skills are acclaimed all over the world. He is known more for his bowling, but is quite handy with the bat as well and can turn the games with some big shots.

Rashid Khan's Cameo Delights Afghan Fans

Afghanistan made debut in Champions Trophy with a game against South Africa and though they went down by 107 runs, Rashid Khan made sure that their fans had something to cheer during the game. He scored 18 off 13 balls which included three fours and a six and that maximum came on the very first ball of his innings.

It was the third delivery of the 35th over and Lungi Ngidi bowled a short delivery outside off. Rashid Khan was ready and played a fierce square cut that went all the way over deep backward point for a six. It was quite a shot and statement from the Afghanistan star and his savage reaction after the six was enough to showcase that he would not go down without a fight.

The Afghan fans were also delighted in the stands and till Rashid Khan was present on the field, there was lot of excitement in the crowd. Keshav Maharaj eventually got the better of him in the 38th over and Afghanistan were bowled out for 208. Rahmat Shah was the one who kept Afghans in the game with his 90 off 92 balls, but it was not enough against mighty Proteas who posted a big total of 315 in the first innings.
