In a dazzling display of power-hitting prowess, Quinton de Kock, the dynamic South African wicketkeeper-batsman, recently unleashed a massive blow out of the park during a thrilling encounter against the Hobart Hurricanes.

Playing for Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League 2023-24 (BBL|13), de Kock opened the innings alongside Joe Clarke and was off to a flyer start.

In the fifth over of the powerplay, a loose delivery from Chris Jordan of the Hurricanes landed in the slot for de Kock as the batter smashed it out of the park.

The commentators on air screamed with excitement and called it the biggest hit of the tournament so far. Indeed, the six was measured at 94 meters, thus making it the longest of the ongoing Big Bash season.

De Kock's penchant for aggressive stroke play and fearless approach to batting was on full display during this particular moment.

On the other hand, the crowd, witnessing this breathtaking display of power hitting, erupted in cheers and applause, acknowledging the skill and entertainment that de Kock brings to the cricket field. Moreover, a few fans also jumped over the fence to retrieve the ball.

In hindsight, Quinton de Kock's big hit and short explosion at the top guided Renegades to an above-par total of 183 runs.

Quinton de Kock, the South African explosive batter, retired from the test and ODI format earlier to focus solely on the shorter format. Apparently, the workload of a rigid international cricket schedule led to mental fatigue and also negatively affected de Kock's personal life.

Thus, the batter sorted out his priorities and chose his family over an international cricketing career.

Having said that, the Protea continues to play T20 for his national side as well as the franchise leagues held around the world. He is currently featured in the BBL and would also mark his presence in the impending IPL season for Lucknow Super Giants led by Indian batter KL Rahul.
