Quinton de Kock has been a standout performer for Barbados Royals in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, the South African wicketkeeper batter has consistently delivered with the bat and showcased his class and attacking prowess.
In the last match against Trinbago Knight Riders, de Kock played a masterful innings, and scored a brisk 48 off 30 balls. His continued form has carried over in the ongoing 16th match between Barbados Royals and Guyana Amazon Warriors at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.
Alleyne And de Kock Provide Much-Needed Start
Talking about this match, earlier the Warriors won the toss and elected to field, de Kock, alongside his opening partner Kadeem Alleyne, provided the Royals with a solid platform.
The duo put up 25 runs in just 16 balls, with Alleyne playing the aggressor role early on. The 23-year-old smashed 22 runs off just 9 balls, which included some powerful hits, before being dismissed by Dwaine Pretorius.
However, Alleyne's wicket didn’t halt the Royals' momentum, as de Kock continued to play his natural attacking game took charge of the innings and kept the scoreboard ticking.

One particular moment that stood out came in the 9th over of the match, when de Kock faced Moeen Ali. The Warriors were hoping to slow down the run rate with spin, but de Kock had other plans.
Moeen bowled a full, tossed-up delivery on the leg stump. De Kock read the ball perfectly and shimmied down the pitch. With his trademark footwork and precision, de Kock launched the ball high and cleanly over the long-on boundary for a stunning six.
