Prithvi Shaw could not find a place in Delhi Capitals' playing XI in the initial two games of IPL 2024 but came back strongly against CSK. Now, against MI in the 20th match of IPL 2024, he is once again showing his class and has smacked his first fifty of the 17th edition.

Mumbai Indians smashed 234 after Rishabh Pant decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Romario Shepherd blasted 32 in the final over of the innings, and also drew first blood by sending back Warner in the fourth over. 

However, Prithvi Shaw did not back away and kept playing his shots. He got to his fifty with a boundary as well in the 9th over and scored 66 off 40 balls before Bumrah knocked him over. The right-handed opener smashed three sixes and eight fours in his knock and one of those was a boundary off an upper-cut against Akash Madhawal in the 5th over.

It was a short delivery, outside off and Prithvi Shaw played a nice late upper cut that almost went all the way towards the third man fence.

However, DC needed Shaw to bat till the end in their mammoth run-chase but Bumrah was too good as always, and delivered a perfect yorker to send Shaw packing.
