After getting benched for the first couple of Delhi Capitals (DC) matches, Prithvi Shaw has finally come to the party in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) match against the Mumbai Indians.

DC needed a monumental 235 to win this encounter, and for that, they needed a flying start. However, that was denied by Romario Shepherd, who picked up the crucial wicket of David Warner.

DC needed someone to kick-start their run-chase, and Shaw raised his hands, playing some exquisite strokes. He struggled initially against the pace of Jasprit Bumrah, but came to the party against Piyuch Chawla, hammering him for 6, 4, 4 to rattle the leg-spinner.

The over gave DC the much needed momentum as the boundary floodgates opened for the Capitals.

The highlight of the over was the lightning quick-feet of Shaw, as he went on the back-foot and pulled away Chawla's length delivery towards the deep mid wicket region for a colossal six.

The DC opener eventually brought his first half-century of the season and kept his side alive in the chase, but was eventually dismissed for 66.

Talking about the contest, MI posted a commanding 234, courtesy, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Romario Shepherd, who tonked Anrich Nortje for 32 runs in the last over of the innings.
