David Warner played a swashbuckling second-tier six at Wankhede Stadium against Romario Shepherd on Sunday afternoon during Match 20 of the IPL 2024 between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. 

Shepherd hogged limelight since smashing 32 runs off the final over of Anrich Nortje earlier in the contest, and no wonder, the audacious hit off Warner gave him the taste of his own medicine.

Coming to chase a improbable target of 235, Warner and Prithvi Shaw had to give DC a flying start. However, they failed to deliver until Warner broke the shackles with a trademark six.

Shepherd came to bowl the fourth over of DC's innings, and the West Indian bowled a good length delivery to Warner going outside the off stump. Warner went down on one knee, and smacked a huge six over deep square leg for a second-tier six.

Incidentally, Warner fell on the next ball off Shepherd after a paltry 8-ball 10. DC, at the time of writing this, are batting on 53/1 at the end of seven overs, requiring 182 more runs off the last 78 balls.
