Riding on Kieron Pollard's scintillating knock, Karachi Kings secured their first victory in the PSL 2024, defeating Peshawar Zalmi by seven wickets. 

Batting first, the Zalmi posted a respectable 154-run total, riding on Babar Azam's valiant fifty. In response, Karachi were in a spot of bother after losing their third wicket in the 13th over. However, as soon as he entered the middle, Pollard stunned the Zalmi with his sensational hitting. 

After opening his account with a huge six off Waqar Salamkheil on the first ball, Pollard struck three more maximums and four boundaries to compile a belligerent 21-ball 49*. He particularly targeted Salamkheil, hammering the Afghan spinner all around the park. 

On the 15th over of Karachi's innings, Pollard smashed Salamkheil for three sixes and two fours, collecting 27 runs in this process. 

The expensive over from the Afghan star swung the game completely in Karachi's favour, as they chased the total successfully with 19 balls to spare. 

Pollard's onslaught took the IPL fans for a nostalgic ride, reminding his past heroics for the most successful IPL franchise, Mumbai Indians. 

With this victory, the Kings moved to the fourth position in the points table. They will take on Lahore Qalandars in the 10th league stage game of the tournament on February 24.
