[Watch] Phoebe Litchfield Smashes Joint-Fastest Fifty In Women's T20Is

In the ongoing T20I series between Australia women and West Indies women, Phoebe Litchfield smashed a blistering half-century and equalled the record of Sophie Devine of scoring the fastest fifty in the T20 Internationals. 

The Australian women's team were seven for two, and then Ellyse Perry came to bat, who made a small partnership with Beth Mooney. Again, the Aussies lost a couple of wickets in a span of two overs and then came Phoebe Litchfield, who knocked the Caribbeans out of the park. 

Ellyse Perry ended up scoring 70 runs off 46 deliveries and Phoebe Litchfield scored 52 not out off just 19 deliveries. Both of these batters took Australia's score to 212, but it was not enough as Hayley Matthews smashed 132 off 64 deliveries and helped the Windies chase down that total.

The 20-year-old was exceptional in scoring the fastest fifty of the WT20I. She hammered five sixes and three boundaries. With completing her half-century in just 18 deliveries, she has equalled the record of the Kiwi batter Sophie Devine, who scored the fastest T20I fifty back in 2015. 

Phoebe Litchfield's efforts went in vain as Hayley Matthews and Stafanie Taylor cruised the run chase and chsed 213 with a ball remaining. Hayley smashed 134 and Stafanie went on to score 59 off 41 deliveries with the help of 11 boundaries. 

In the three-match WT20I series, both the teams have managed to win one game each and now it is up to the decider on the 5th of October which will be taking place in Brisbane.
