Dale Steyn has been one of the most lethal bowlers in the cricket world. The right-arm speedster from South Africa has not only bowled against the legendary batters but has also been successful in troubling them. Steyn was part of three World Cups and even reached the semi-final of the 2015 World Cup. But unfortunately, he was not lucky enough to win one.

On a pre-match talk, the presenters and experts were talking about Rohit Sharma and Dale Steyn was asked to share his views on him. The fast-bowler rated him as one of the best batters among the current players in the cricket world.

Rohit Sharma recently completed 10,000 ODI runs and also has 551 sixes which is the highest number of sixes in international cricket among the current players. He just needs a couple of sixes to become the player with the most number of sixes in international cricket.

Rohit and Steyn have faced each other on a few occasions and both speak very highly of each other. The right-handed batter averages under 30 in every format against Steyn, but Steyn found him difficult to bowl to.

Here's what Dale Steyn said when he was asked about Rohit Sharma:

“I always struggled to bowl against Rohit (Sharma), he is a phenomenal batter, leading the team from the front."

Rohit Sharma, who smashed five hundreds in the last World Cup will be leading the Indian side in the 2023 World Cup. He has been in good form recently and scored 81 in his last game which was against Australia. He would look to play the same way he played in 2019 and lead the team from the front.
