The 10th match of the Global Super League between Lahore Qalandars and Rangpur Riders was interrupted by rain, causing delays in the match. However, the Rangpur Riders emerged victorious, winning by 23 runs via the DLS method.

The match retouched the Bangladesh-Pakistan rivalry when Lahore Qalandars' Salman Mirza bowled out Rangpur Riders' Soumya Sarkar with a sensational delivery. Although Sarkar has been in modest form recently, missing Mirza's length ball was a significant blunder on his part.

In the second ball of the fourth over, after a break from the rain delay, Mirza got the better off of Sarkar as he went out of rhythm. Mirza delivered a decisive breakthrough for his team by bowling Sarkar out.

Bowling a length delivery around the off-stump, Mirza's ball angled into the off-stump, deceiving Sarkar, who was lured to play a drive. But the ball sharply dipped back, crashing into the off-stump and Sarkar went back for 22 off 13.

RR bags comfortable win over LHQ

Rangpur Riders secured their place in the Global Super League final with a convincing 23-run DLS victory over the Qalandars. Batting first, Rangpur Riders posted a competitive total of 85 runs in 9 overs, after the play was reduced due to rain. Steven Taylor (32), Soumya Sarkar (22) and Saif Hassan (27) made solid contributions. The Qalandars' bowling attack struggled to contain the Riders' batters except for Mirza.

In reply, the Qalandars were set a revised target of 111 runs. However, they could only manage 87 runs in 9 overs. Mahedi Hasan bagged 3 wickets and Zak Chappell bagged 2 wickets and were the standout bowlers for the Riders. Meanwhile, Steven Taylor was declared the player of the match for his crucial knock.

With this win, Rangpur Riders have now booked their spot in the Grand Finals where they will face Victoria on December 7.
