Jasprit Bumrah could not control himself after watching the way Nitish Reddy thrashed Scott Boland on Friday during the second Test of the five-match series between India and Australia, taking place at Adelaide Oval. India's talismanic fast bowler was at the non-striker's end when Reddy played that an outrageous shot, and arguably no one had the better view of that thrashing than him.

Nitish Reddy Plays Audacious Reverse Scoop Six Off Scott Boland

It was the second ball of the 42nd over by Boland, who went for a length delivery around the off stump. Nitish made his mind set earlier to go for a reverse scoop, and the connection was so impeccable that the ball went all the way for six, that too over the longest part of the ground.

Bumrah was absolutely delighted to see Reddy play that shot against Boland, who took the wickets of Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma earlier. Even on the bowler’s best day, Nitish played him like a school kid, and Bumrah enjoyed more than anyone, and his reaction while having the fist bump said it all.

Reddy's breezy cameo had three sixes and as many fours in a 54-ball 42 before Mitchell Starc took his wicket and finished India's innings on 180 in the first innings. Ravichandran Ashwin played an important knock as well, making a run-a-ball 22 to take India to a competitive total after early departures.
