On Sunday, February 23, India extended their winning run against Pakistan after they handed the Men in Green a six-wicket defeat to keep a foot in the semis with two wins in two matches. Virat Kohli stole the show after the star India batter ended his century drought and brought up his 51st ODI ton.
Pakistan, batting first, tumbled for just 241 runs. In reply, India got off to a positive start, and despite losing Rohit Sharma in the first powerplay, the Men in Blue were unfazed by it and kept the scoring rate in check. Virat, who came to bat when India were 31/1, scored an unbeaten 100 (111).

Firstly, Kohli scripted records while he was on the field as he took 2 catches to go past Mohammed Azharuddin to take the most catches for India in ODIs. Secondly, with the bat, Virat completed 14000 ODI runs and became the fastest player to reach this milestone, faster than Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara.
