Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are the biggest names in Indian cricket. While one has been hailed as the God of Cricket, the other has been crowned the King.

Sachin predicted long ago that Kohli might be the one who would break his stellar records. The modern master stood the test of time and proved the prediction of God right as he has tumbled many unimaginable records of Tendulkar.

The legacy of India's batting-rich history has indeed passed on. In his latest outing, Kohli passed the 14,000 ODI runs mark. Coincidentally, he did it in a more than-normal Sachin-esque way than one can imagine. Why do I say so? Here are three striking similarities in the knock of the two greats where they went past the 14,000 ODI mark.

3. Both Scored A Century

Both Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli scored centuries in the innings where they went past the 14,000 ODI runs mark. While Sachin's knock came on 6th February 2002, Kohli went past the mark on 23rd February 2025. Well, there is one more similarity for you as both of them achieved the feat in the February month.

2. Both Of Them Scored Exactly 100

In the match were Sachin Tendulkar went past the 14,000 mark he scored exactly 100 runs. Strangely, Virat Kohli too scored exactly 100 in the knock where he achieved the feat. The only difference in this case is that Sachin was dismissed after his century, while Kohli remained unbeaten.

1. Both The Knocks Against Pakistan

Now, comes the mother of all co-incidences. Both Sachin and Kohli went past 14,000 ODI runs against Pakistan. The sad part is that Sachin's knock came in a losing cause, but Kohli did not let that happen after 19 years. In Kohli's case, India registered a convincing win against their arch-rivals.
