Deepti Sharma taking Nida Dar's wicket (X.com)
Pakistan captain Nida Dar made little impact on Friday (July 19) in Match 2 of the Women's Asia Cup 2024 against arch-rivals India at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla.
The 37-year-old made eight runs off 11 balls before Deepti Sharma made her look like a bunny during the 12th over of Pakistan's innings.
Considering the fact that the run rate was not too great, Dar came down the ground in an attempt to play a six over long-on. However, she did not get the elevation, and hence, ended up holing out to Dayalan Hemalatha near the boundary line.
Deepti Sharma Claims 250 International Wickets
Later, Deepti entered a huge list after making 250 wickets in international cricket across formats. The star all-rounder took Nashra Sandhu's wicket to reach the milestone.
At the time of writing this, India are 6/0 in one over after Pakistan's 108. The Women in Green were bundled out for 108 in 19.2 overs, with Sidra Ameen top-scoring with a 25, although she took 35 balls to get there.
Earlier, Nepal defeated the UAE by six wickets in the tournament opener.
