Mark Wood made headlines on Friday (July 19) when England met the West Indies for the second Test of the three-match series at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

The right-arm quick, who replaced the retired James Anderson for this match, bowled at a rapid pace, and in the process, he bowled a special delivery that left everyone in awe.

After bowling the quickest over at home in the history of Test cricket, Wood bowled a nasty bouncer to Mikyle Louis during the 14th over of West Indies' innings.

Wood bowled at 156 kph, 97.1 mph, which Louis somehow managed to dodge in order to escape an injury. England Cricket did not take much time to share the clip on social media, as the ball looked extremely vicious to play for any batter across the world.

Meanwhile, the West Indies reached 89/3 at lunch on Day 2. England, earlier, posted 416 batting first, with Ollie Pope making 121 and Ben Stokes scoring 69.

The visitors, who are trailing 0-1 in the three-match series, still trail by 327 runs in the game.
