Nepal won their first Women's Asia Cup game in nine attempts on Friday when they defeated the UAE comfortably by six wickets in the tournament opener of the ongoing edition at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla.

Samjhana Khadka hit the winning run, as Nepal took only 16.1 overs to see off an 116-run target. Notably, Khadka made 72* off 45 balls with the help of 11 fours, and that was also the highest score by a Nepal batter in the Women's Asia Cup history.

No wonder Nepal players celebrated passionately after reaching the feat, and Star Sports, the host broadcasters, did not miss out on the uploading the priceless moments on social media.
