India and Australia are up against each other in the semifinal clash of the Champions Trophy 2025. Australia won the toss and decided to bat first and the Men in Blue have managed to grab two wickets which includes a big wicket of Travis Head as well.

Steve Smith's Survives Despite Ball Hitting The Stumps

Steve Smith is now an important wicket for India, and he was nearly out on the final ball of the 14th over. It was Axar Patel's over and he bowled a full delivery on middle. He missed the ball though and the ball brushed his pad and rolled towards the stumps. It hit the stumps as well, but the bails did not move and it was quite a frustrating moment for India.

Steve Smith's wicket is a crucial one for India, and so he surviving despite the ball hitting the stumps could turn out to be one of the defining moments of the game. The Indian players were naturally disappointed, and would be hoping that it does not cost India big time.

The pitch is a difficult one to bat, and if Australia manage to get close to 300, it could be a difficult target to chase. India have lot of spinners in their kitty though, and they are getting some help from the pitch and Rohit Sharma would be hoping for some more quick wickets in the middle overs.

India and Australia have faced each other in some big games in the last few years or so. Aussies beat India in the final of 2023 World Cup and all Indian fans would be itching to get a revenge in this game.
