Much to India's relief, it will not be a problem for them in the semi-final of the Champions Trophy 2025. Varun Chakaravarthy has dismissed the Australian opener and India's nemesis, bringing relief to 1.4 Billion people.

Notably, after Australia won the toss, they opted to bat first. After some initial struggles, Head started finding his rhythm in the middle. The left-handed opener played a flick shot over the square leg, which sent shivers down the Indian fans, reminding them of the treatment he gave to the bowlers in the ODI World Cup 2023 final.

Sharma introduced Varun Chakravarthy, and that worked wonders. On the second delivery of the ninth over, Chakaravarthy bowled a full delivery at the off-stump line. Head planted his front foot ahead and tried to go over the long-off fence. However, all he managed was to get a connection of the bottom half of the bat.

The ball skied up in the air and to the right of the long-off fielder. Shubman Gill ran and made a stunning catch, securing Head's return to the hut. Immediately after the dismissal, Rohit Sharma was seen delighted, Virat Kohli was also seen giving the batter a fiery send off. The reaction of the Indian players is an indication of how big the wicket was for India.
