Shivam Dube's scintillating performance against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) enthralled fans in the stadium, including Sakshi Dhoni, the wife of cricket icon MS Dhoni.

Amidst the sluggish conditions in Hyderabad, where most Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batters struggled to find their footing, Dube emerged as a standout performer, unleashing a flurry of boundaries and maximums.

In his blistering 24-ball knock, Dube showcased his power-hitting prowess by smashing two boundaries and four sixes, with two of those maximums coming off T Natarajan in a single over during the 12th over of the innings.

This aggressive onslaught propelled CSK to a commanding position after they had encountered early setbacks.

Sakshi, attending her first IPL match of the season, relished every moment of Dube's assault, joined by Ziva Dhoni in appreciating the left-hander's spectacular display with the bat.

However, Dube's innings came to an end in the 14th over when he fell prey to a well-disguised delivery from Pat Cummins, offering a simple catch to Kumar at backward point. Despite his dismissal, Dube's contribution had injected momentum into CSK's innings.

Despite Dube's heroics, the Sunrisers Hyderabad emerged victorious in the 18th match of the IPL 2024 season.

Opting to bowl first, SRH's bowlers put up a commendable performance in the latter overs, restricting CSK to a modest total of 165/5.

In response, Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Aiden Markram played pivotal roles for the Sunrisers, guiding their team to a successful run chase and securing the win.

SRH's victory was a testament to their balanced performance, with both their bowling and batting units contributing effectively to outclass CSK on the day.

Despite Dube's valiant effort, it was the Sunrisers who emerged as eventual winners, showing dominance in this year's IPL.
