Sam Billings, the English wicketkeeper is currently playing in CPL 2024 for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. In the 13th match of the season against Barbados Royals, he smashed a fifty as well, but it was his advice to Roshon Primus that caught the eye of everyone watching the game.

The wicketkeeper dons a number 7 jersey just like MS Dhoni and has played for CSK too in the past. He has mentioned in the past that he learnt a lot from the former Indian and CSK skipper and now in the CPL, everyone saw the glimpses of MSD in Sam Billings' advice to the bowler as well.

It was the 12th over of Barbados Royals' innings and before the fourth delivery, Sam Billings went to the bowler Roshon Primus and gave him a bit of advice on how to bowl to Quinton de Kock. It turned out to be a masterstroke, and the very next ball from Primus was a slower short delivery, around leg.

Quinton de Kock went for the pull shot, but only managed to get a glove on it and handed an easy catch to Sam Billings behind the stumps.

David Miller And Powell Take Barbados Royals Close To The Target

The wicket was a much-needed one for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons at that point in time, as Quinton De Kock was taking the game away from them. He departed on 48 off 30 balls, but it brought David Miller to the crease, and he along with Rovman Powell took Royals to safer shores before rain halted the proceedings at the end of 14 overs.

In the first half, Antigua and Barbuda Falcons scored  176 while batting first courtesy an unbeaten 61 from Justin Greaves and 56 from Sam Billings. They could have got a lot more after the start they got, but Royals bowlers bowled well in the middle and at the death with Jason Holder and Naveen-ul-Haq picking two wickets apiece.
