In a do-or-die match for Pakistan against Canada in the T20 World Cup 2024, the Men in Green bowlers and fielders are putting continuous pressure on the Canadian batters with their moments of brilliance.

After Mohammad Amir and Shaheen Afridi provided Pakistan with first two wickets, and then Imad Wasim nailed a Ravindra Jadeja-esque direct-hit to dismiss Canada's Nicholas Kirton cheaply.

It all happened in the seventh over of the game when, during a Haris Rauf over, a miscommunication occurred that led to Kirton's dismissal. Johnson, the striker, tapped the ball in the offside, but Imad, at the mentioned position, picked up the ball to hit the bull's eye at the bowler's end. 


However, the dismissal of Kirton, who smashed a match-winning 49 against Ireland, didn't derail the Canadian innings as Aaron Johnson's half-century pushed Pakistan's bowling on the backfoot on a tricky New York pitch. 

At the time of writing, Canada are looking to notch a challenging total, as they are holding the forte with 85-6 after 16 overs.
