A young Bangladeshi pacer, Mustafizur Rahman announced his arrival on the international stage with a sensational performance on his ODI debut on June 18, 2015 as his five-wicket haul against a formidable side like India stunned the cricketing world.

Mustafizur Rahman, a teenage left-arm fast bowler from Bangladesh, was touted as the next big thing by the scouts. Despite his lean physique and tricky bowling action, Rahman unleashed a glimpse of his striking potential on his ODI debut against India in 2015.

Rahman was facing a formidable lineup comprising the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina and many more. However, the initial nervousness vanished when the pacer dismissed in-form Rohit Sharma on 63, who had begun to look dangerous in the 308-run chase.

Mustafizur Took Wickets Of Raina, Ashwin and Jadeja

The young bowler's consistent line and length, coupled with the ability to extract sharp movement off the pitch, created havoc in the Indian camp.

Mustafizur Rahman's most memorable moment came when he dismissed three Indian batters in quick succession. He claimed the prized wicket of Suresh Raina, who was knocked over with a clever, slower cutter.

He then removed the dangerous Ravichandran Ashwin on the very next delivery before deceiving Ravindra Jadeja with another sharp cutter in the next over of the same spell, thus sealing his five-wicket haul.

Mustafizur's clever variation of pace and control over his line left the Indian batting order in shambles, and he became only the tenth bowler in the history of ODIs to take five wickets on debut.

This performance not only helped Bangladesh secure a crucial 79-run win but also established Mustafizur Rahman as one of the most promising young fast bowlers in world cricket. Till date,  Rahman remains one of Bangladesh's most valuable players in limited overs formats.
