In the ongoing Duleep Trophy between India A and India B, the tension soared when all-rounder Riyan Parag, known for his mysterious deliveries, found himself in a dramatic moment. Playing for Team A, Parag and his teammates had enjoyed early success by dismantling India B’s top order on Day 1.

However, the Day 2 belonged to Musheer Khan, who stabilized the innings with a crucial knock, leading his team to a competitive total.

The real drama occurred during the 107th over, as Navdeep Saini, the tailender for India B, held his ground. Riyan Parag, frustrated with how things were slipping away, came into bowl with renewed intensity.

Parag, bowling at 92.1 kmph, delivered a length ball targeting the middle stump. Saini, late in defense, was struck on the front pad, prompting a massive appeal for an LBW from Parag. The bowler, convinced it was a dismissal, turned expectantly towards umpire Tapan Sharma, who, to Parag’s disbelief, shook his head in denial.

India A had no reviews left, and despite Riyan Parag's desperate appeal, the decision stood. Replays later confirmed what Parag had feared: three reds on Ball Tracking, meaning Saini should have been out. UltraEdge also confirmed there was no bat involved, leaving Parag visibly frustrated and annoyed with the situation.

Musheer Khan and Saini’s Resilience

While Parag wrestled with his frustration, Musheer Khan continued his stellar innings, carrying India B to safety. Musheer and Saini’s 8th-wicket partnership was vital, pushing India B close to the 300-run mark.

Musheer, undeterred by his earlier dismissals overturned by DRS, displayed grit and determination. Heading toward a potential double century, his resilience, along with Saini's, kept India A on the back foot as the session progressed.

At the time of writing, India B are at 290/7.
