Young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal had a horrendous outing in Rajasthan Royals' second group-stage match against Delhi Capitals, as Mukesh Kumar castled him with a beautiful delivery.

The incident occurred during the second over of the Royals' innings when DC captain Rishabh Pant brought Mukesh Kumar into the attack to provide them with an early breakthrough. The move paid rich dividends for the visitors, with Mukesh cleaning Jaiswal up with an absolute ripper.

After conceding a boundary off the second ball of his opening over, Mukesh kept Jaiswal under the pump by bowling two consecutive dot ball. He followed it up with a magnificent full-length delivery, which came into the southpaw, uprooting his off stump.

Following Jaiswal's dismissal, Mukesh seemed pumped up, giving the batter a fiery send off and asking him to make his way back to the dugout. Jaiswal, who recently had stellar success against England, thus recorded his second consecutive failure in the IPL 2024.

Notably, the batter failed to convert his start into a big score last time, being dismissed for 24 in RR's opening game against LSG

After his departure, RR skipper Sanju Samson joined Jos Buttler in the middle to steady the ship for the hosts. As of writing, RR were 26 for one in four overs, with Samson and Buttler batting on 14* and 7*, respectively.
