In an electrifying display of talent, 22-year-old Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has surpassed cricketing legend Rahul Dravid's milestone in the ongoing Test series against England.

Jaiswal's momentous achievement came when he crossed the 58-run mark in the 42nd over of the Indian innings, firmly placing himself as the second-highest run-getter in a bilateral Test series versus England. He has accumulated 618 runs, positioning himself just a whisker away from Virat Kohli's record-breaking tally of 655 runs.

This feat is especially noteworthy as Rahul Dravid was the first Indian player to break the 600-run barrier in a series.

Jaiswal's phenomenal form has been the talk of the town, with two double centuries and four fifty-plus scores under his belt in the series. His performance during the ongoing test series secured his place in the annals of cricket history but also showcased his dominance over the English bowling attack.

Rahul Dravid, the current head coach of the Indian cricket team, holds a special place in Jaiswal's journey. Having coached him during his U-19 days for India, Dravid's influence and mentorship have undoubtedly contributed to the young southpaw's remarkable rise in the sport.

It was a momentous occasion when Jaiswal surpassed Dravid's record of 602 runs, which the latter achieved in the away series in 2002. Dravid's legacy as a stalwart of Indian cricket is firmly intact, and Jaiswal's achievement adds another layer to their shared history.

With one more test remaining in the ongoing series and considering Jaiswal's current form, it seems he can surpass Kohli's record of 655 runs.
