On Friday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will cross swords against Kolkata Knight Riders in match 10 of the ongoing Indian Premier League season.

Led by Faf du Plessis, RCB secured a resounding victory over Punjab Kings in their previous game, riding on scintillating knocks from Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik.

On the other hand, the Knight Riders got the better of Sunrisers Hyderabad in a high-scoring face-off, as Harshit Rana held his nerves to defend 13 runs in the final over.

Regarding RCB, Rajat Patidar and Glenn Maxwell's poor form has marred the Red Brigade. However, considering how they have performed for the franchise over the years, the RCB think tank will stick to the explosive duo for this match.

Among others, West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph, purchased for a whopping 11.5 Cr, has blown hot and cold in the tournament. The hit-the-deck pacer has scalped a solitary wicket at an ordinary economy of 10.57.

More importantly, Joseph was ordinary in the slog overs, conceding 20 runs off the final over against PBKS. So, RCB might consider replacing him with Lockie Ferguson to resolve their death bowling woes.

Also, left-arm off-spinner Mayank Dagar has looked ineffective in both outings. His underwhelming performance might pave the way for Karn Sharma's inclusion in the RCB playing XI.
