Riding on Mukesh Kumar's incredible new-ball spell, India dismantled West Indies' top order in the final ODI of the ongoing three-match series in Tarouba, Trinidad. Batting first, India posted a massive 351-run total, courtesy of blistering half centuries from Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson. In response, the hosts had a disastrous start to their innings, with Kumar dismissing both their openers, Brandon King and Kyle Mayers, cheaply inside three overs.

After finding King caught behind, Kumar bowled a beautiful delivery to Mayers, who chopped it onto his stumps. If that was not enough, the seamer from Bengal brought the Windies down on their knees by dismissing Shai Hope, who was caught brilliantly by Shubman Gill in the seventh over.

Thus, the track which seemed a batting beauty during the Indian innings, turned out to be nightmarish for the host batters in the latter half, thanks to Kumar's relentless spell. Besides Kumar, Jaydev Unadkat and Shardul Thakur made it difficult to breathe for the West Indies batters. As a result, the hosts are on the verge of an embarrassing defeat, placed at 59 for six, with Alick Athanaze and Yannic Cariah batting on 23* and 6*, respectively.
