After having a poor outing in the second ODI against West Indies, dynamic Indian batter Sanju Samson made a remarkable comeback in the all-important decider in Tarouba, Trinidad. Coming to bat at number four, Samson showcased extraordinary skills and hitting prowess to compose a blistering fifty and ensure a massive score for Team India.

After being put into bat, India had a dream start to their innings, thanks to a mammoth 143-run opening stand between Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill. However, after Kishan got out, the visitors suffered a significant setback quickly, as Ruturaj Gaikwad departed for a 14-ball eight.

However, Gaikwad's dismissal had no impact on Samson, who announced his arrival in Trinidad with a gigantic six over long on off Yannic Cariah. He came out with all guns blazing right from the word go and played a pivotal role in stabilising the Indian innings through his breezy knock.

The swashbuckling batter from Kerala hammered two fours and four huge sixes for his impressive 41-ball 51 before being dismissed by Romario Shepherd in the 32nd over. His outstanding knock ensured India didn't lose the momentum, helping them score at a brisk pace in the middle overs.

India are in a commanding position in the game, placed at 244 for three in 38.2 overs, with Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya batting on 85* and 11*, respectively, as of writing.
