However, Dhoni's innings was cut short when he was dismissed for 14 runs by Jitesh Sharma, ending his unbeaten streak in this season. Despite his departure, Dhoni's impact on the game was palpable, leaving a lasting impression on fans and opponents alike.

Earlier in the match, CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad played a crucial role, leading the team to a respectable total of 162 with a stellar knock of 62 runs. Despite a shaky start from CSK's top order, Gaikwad's innings provided the team with a fighting chance against PBKS.
