It is time for the CSK fans to rejoice as their beloved 'Thala' Dhoni takes the field after nearly a year. MS Dhoni's presence lightens up the day for all the MSD fans and CSK supporters.

Add to that Chennai's local hero returning to his home franchise and getting a dream start to his return spell. From the time Ravichandran Ashwin was bought by Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025, the fans were excited to see him don the yellow jersey once again.

Ashwin-Dhoni Reunite After 10 Years

Don the jersey he did and in style by picking up the wicket of a dangerous English all-rounder, Will Jacks from MI. 

Ashwin was introduced to the attack in the fifth over of the innings when Suryakumar Yadav and Will Jacks were looking to rebuild the innings for MI. On the fourth delivery of the over, Ashwin tossed up the ball at the off-stump line. 

Jacks tried to loft the ball over the mid-off fielder but did not time it correctly. Shivam Dube took the catch at the edge of the ring and sent the English all-rounder back to the hut.

As Will Jacks walked back to the hut, MS Dhoni and Ravi Ashwin were seen engaged in a chat. This moment was emotional for the CSK fans as it was years after that the duo was seen together in the yellow jersey. The fans were seen reacting emotionally to the moment.
