Siraj roared after sending Rehan back [X.com]
Mohammed Siraj unleashed his wrath on England's dangerous lower-order batter Rehan Ahmed, and dismissed him with a terrific yorker on the pivotal Day 3 of the Rajkot Test.
The Indian speedster delivered an inch-perfect full-pitcher that hit the base of the off-stump, with Rehan completely caught off guard by the quality of the ball in play.
Siraj not only showed magnificent execution of the yorker but also his smarts. Having set up Rehan for deliveries coming into the right-hander and packing the leg-side field, the Indian pacer delivered one slightly wide of his eye-line and shattered the off-stump.

Even though Rehan made an attempt to bring his bat down on time for the yorker, the speed on the ball and the late movement accounted for the earnest English No.8, who was doing a reasonable job of countering Siraj's initial plan to get him caught on a flick towards the on-side.
Siraj would've been delighted to have fetched dividends of a prudent set-up. Having identified a chink in Rehan's armour off incoming deliveries, the speedster surprised the lower-order batter with the one beating his outside edge on this occasion.
Siraj wasn't initially aware that the delivery had hit the base of the off-stump and went on an LBW appeal, seeing the ball ricocheted towards wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel. Soon, umpire Joe Wilson raised his finger and let Siraj know what had transpired following his unplayable yorker.
The Hyderabad seamer's magnificent old-ball burst versus the tail saw him finish with four wickets for 84 runs in the England first-innings effort. It gave India a significant lead of 126 after posting an imposing score of 445. Siraj earlier bagged the prize scalp of England's first Test match-winner Ollie Pope as well.
