In a massive moment on Day 3 of the ongoing third Test between India and England at Rajkot, local hero Ravindra Jadeja delivered a crucial blow to England's innings by claiming the wicket of Ben Stokes right after Lunch.

IND vs ENG: Jadeja and Bumrah combined to turn the tide in Rajkot Test

Ben Stokes’ wicket has injected fresh energy into the Indian camp, especially after Ravindra Jadeja's commendable performance with the bat earlier in the match, where he notched up a century in the first innings.

The dismissal unfolded in the 65th over of England's innings when Jadeja tossed the ball up towards off-stump. Ben Stokes, attempting to accelerate the scoring, opted for an aggressive slog sweep. Unfortunately for the English captain, his timing was off, sending the ball soaring into the air towards mid-on.

Jasprit Bumrah, positioned halfway back at mid-on, showcased his athleticism by running back and successfully catching the ball. Bumrah, with his eyes firmly locked on the ball, executed a reverse cup catch about five yards inside the boundary rope, sending Stokes back to the pavilion for 41 off 89 deliveries, a knock that included six boundaries.

This Ben Stokes wicket marked a turning point in the game, as England, who had started the day in a strong position at 207/2, found themselves on the back foot. Following Stokes' wicket, Mohammed Siraj added to England's woes by removing Ben Foakes in the very next over, further denting England's batting lineup.

At this juncture, England's score stands at 305/7, trailing by 140 runs. The Indian bowling attack, energized by the quick breakthroughs, pressed on with determination, aiming to dismantle the remainder of England's batting order.

India's strategy will now be clear - to quickly wrap up England's tail and secure a substantial first-innings lead. A victory in Rajkot would not only give India a lead in the series but also a significant psychological advantage.
