Veteran Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi scored an incredible 32-ball 65 against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup's final group league match against Sri Lanka at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The 38-year-old batsman played like he was in his prime, smashing five sixes and six fours in his team's do-or-die affair against the defending champions.
In the process, Mohammad Nabi achieved a massive feat. The all-rounder broke Mujeeb Ur Rahman's record of 26 balls, which he set against Pakistan just over a week ago, to become the country's quickest batsman to reach an ODI half-century.

Afghanistan were chasing 292 against Sri Lanka, and in order to progress to the Super Four round, they had to see off the target in 37.1 overs. Therefore, Afghanistan had to go with all guns blazing, and Nabi led by example to keep themselves in the hunt.
Just when everyone felt Nabi was on the verge of registering a memorable century, Maheesh Theekshana came back to dismiss him, allowing ardent Sri Lankan fans to breathe a sigh of relief.
Afghanistan are batting at 223/5 in 29.4 overs as of this writing, needing 73 runs off 40 balls to complete a miraculous task.
