Rohit Sharma and his hilarious candid interviews never get old. Such a scenario happened on Thursday when he was having an interview before India's first of the three-match ODI series.

During the interview, Rohit was asked how he feels now, considering the fact that he is no longer in the T20I mix. The veteran opener announced his retirement from T20Is after the World Cup triumph in June, and to respond to that question, he found a funny yet unique way to leave everyone in splits.

“I feel like, I’ve been rested from the T20s like it used to happen in the past. And there will be big tournament coming up and we have to get ready for T20s again. I still feel it’s like that so I don’t think I’m completely out of the format,” Rohit said in the pre-match press conference.

Rohit, alongside Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer will all be in action on Friday when India take on Sri Lanka for the first time in the 50-over leg. They all were seen training hard under Gautam Gambhir, as the BCCI posted a video on social media to bring joy among the fans.

Notably, neither Virat Kohli nor Rohit Sharma has played a match ever since they took retirement from the T20Is. Hence, it will be a massive moment for the Men in Blue, and the reunion with their newly-appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir has made the event even more excited.
