MS Dhoni To Play IPL 2025? CSK Legend Breaks Silence On His Availability

Ever since the Indian Premier League (IPL) began in 2008, MS Dhoni has been the poster boy of the lucrative cash-rich league. Even at the age of 43, Dhoni went strong in the IPL 2024, playing breezy cameos one after another.

In a recent interview, Dhoni was asked whether he will return to auction when the IPL takes place next yer. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend, however, did not respond in a direct manner, as he highlighted there is still a lot of areas to think about before the mega auction details get confirmed.


MS Dhoni On IPL 2025 Participation

The 43-year-old Dhoni did not reveal his IPL future when a fan posed a question about his plans for the 2025 edition.

“There is a lot of time for it. We have to see what decision they take on player retention etc. Right now, the ball is not in our court.

"So, once the rules and regulations get formarlised, I will take a call, but needs to be in the best interest of the team,” Dhoni said, as quoted by PTI.

Needless to say, if Dhoni plays in IPL 2025, he will obviously play for CSK, considering the legacy he has built with the Yellow Army there over the years.
