Mohammad Ali's dream run in the PSL 2024 season was perpetuated as the fast bowler claimed his 10th victim of the tournament in the form of Mohammad Amir against Quetta Gladiators. 

Multan Sultan squared off with Quetta Gladiators for the first match of the Sunday doubleheader earlier today. The Sultans batted first and posted a par total of 180 runs on the board.

However, the Gladiators looked strong at one stage after skipper Rilee Rossouw and Khawaja Nafay put together a strong partnership for the third wicket.

But after David Willey produced the much-needed breakthrough, Mohammad Ali, PSL 2024 season's newest sensation, took care of the rest. Ali holed a top-notch yorker to shatter Mohammad Amir's stumps in the penultimate over of the chase.

 Amir was looking to attack Ali with a reverse sweep. But he was completely beaten by the racing yorker and saw his stumps grounded.

Despite Amir's best efforts to negotiate Ali's bowling, the searing yorker proved too good, resulting in his dismissal and a moment of triumph for the talented fast bowler.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Ali, having a sensational season this year in PSL, broke into an animated celebratory run. He had claimed his 10th wicket of the tournament in a mere four games to become the season's leading wicket-taker.

Needless to say, his teammates surrounded him to celebrate his achievement. Ali has been a rare discovery for Multan Sultans. They picked him from first-class cricket and fielded him on an experimental basis. But the pacer exceeded all expectations to become the Sultans' frontline bowler this year.

That being said, Mohammad Ali removed the Gladiator's last hope, Amir, to lead his side to a dominating victory. Multan Sultans continue to dominate the league with four wins in five games. They are seated at the top of the points table with a healthy net run rate.
