With the 163-run chase hanging in the balance, Gujarat Titans (GT) batters David Miller and impact player Sai Sudharsan went all guns blazing after SRH spinner Mayank Markande and added 24 crucial runs, thus getting the chase back on track.

Gujarat Titans (GT) hosted Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Narendra Modi Stadium earlier today in a high-octane IPL 2024 season matchup. Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first on a dry wicket.

However, Cummins regretted his decision shortly after the wickets kept tumbling down. Every SRH batter wasted decent starts and despite Heinrich Klaasen and Abdul Samad’s notable contributions, GT managed to restrict them to a below par total of 162 runs.

To further ease up the chase, Wriddhiman Shah slammed 25 runs off 13 deliveries in the powerplay. But after captain Shubman Gill’s wicket, the required run rate soared.

With the match in a fix, David Miller and impact player Sai Sudharsan stitched a 50+ runs partnership in the middle. Moreover, the duo’s quest for a big over ended at leg-spinner Mayank Markande.

David Miller and Sai Sudharsan fetched 24 runs off Markande’s 16th over with two sixes and as many fours. Miller led the charge by pushing a googly through mid-wicket. He followed it up with another four by dancing down the track and smashing a wide delivery over extra cover.

Sai Sudharsan decided to join the party and went big over the long on ropes. Sai went after the pitch of the ball to smoke a maximum.

To make matters worse for SRH, Mayank Markande conceded another six on the final delivery to round the over tally to 24 runs.

With that, GT’s went to chase down the target of 163 runs to win two off three matches in the IPL 2024.
