Rashid Khan Surpasses 'This' Player To Become Highest Wicket-Taker For Gujarat Titans

Rashid Khan, the vice-captain of Gujarat Titans, has surpassed Mohammed Shami's wicket tally to become the highest wicket-taker for GT in the history of the Indian Premier League. This achievement was reached during a recent group clash against SRH, where Rashid claimed his 49th IPL wicket for GT by dismissing Heinrich Klaasen for just 24 runs.

Despite Klaasen's aggressive batting display, including hitting two sixes off Noor Ahmed's final over, his struggle against Rashid Khan's bowling prowess was evident.

Historically, Klaasen has found it challenging to tackle Rashid, maintaining a strike-rate of just 77 against him. This pattern persisted in their recent encounter, as Rashid deceived Klaasen with a deceptive fullish delivery that stayed low and skidded through, ultimately crashing into the stumps.

It's worth noting that Rashid's achievement comes after Mohammed Shami, who was the highest wicket-taker for Gujarat Titans in the previous IPL season, clinching the prestigious Purple Cap. Now, Rashid Khan has etched his name in GT's history books by surpassing Shami's record, showcasing his exceptional bowling skills and contribution to the team's success in the IPL.
