David Miller's six against India (Source:@JioCinema/X.com)
David Miller is one of the most dangerous hitters in the world of cricket and has the ability to change the complexion of the game with his brutal strokeplay. He did not come up with his best in the T20I series against India, but in the final game, he managed to hit three sixes, which went quite a far distance.
All the three sixes he hit were against Varun Chakaravarthy and one travelled 110-metre, another 109 and the shortest of the three was of 104-metre. The biggest six came on the fifth ball of the 10th over, Chakaravarthy bowled it full on middle and off and the Southpaw got under it beautifully to tonk it all the way over wide long on.
South African Batters Crumble Under Pressure
The ball went out of the ground and it was a typical Miller hit. A flamboyant flow of bat with truckloads of power loaded in it. David Miller though could only manage 36 off 27 balls and it was Chakaravarthy who got the revenge on the final ball of the 12th over.
South Africa could muster just 148 runs in the end and India registered a thumping win by 135 runs. In the first half, India posted 283 on the board on the back of twin centuries by Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma. The duo stitched a record stand of over 200 runs and it proved too much for South Africa in the end as the visitors clinched the series by 3-1 margin.
