Pakistan's Super Four campaign in the Asia Cup began on a cracking note, as they rattled Bangladesh for a paltry 193-run total on a batting friendly deck in Lahore. Chasing 194, the hosts batted sensibly, with Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan guiding them towards the victory. However, famed all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz brought some respite to the visitors' camp, dismissing Imam when the game was almost done and dusted.

Miraz, who slammed a scintillating ton against Afghanistan in Bangladesh's last group-stage fixture against Afghanistan, recorded a failure with the bat today, being dismissed for a duck by Naseem Shah. However, the off-spinner won his mini battle with Imam-ul-Haq in the second half, castling the veteran opener with an absolute peach.

In the 33rd over of Pakistan's innings, Miraz bowled a flighted delivery, which went straight with the angle after being pitched around the off stump line. Imam attempted for a wild sweep only to get beaten, with the ball shattering the stumps.

However, Imam's dismissal, which came against the run of play, didn't affect the game's outcome, as Pakistan chased the total comfortably with seven wickets and 63 balls to spare. The Men in Green opened their account in the Super 4 points table with this thumping win and will take on arch-rivals India in their next game on Sunday.
