Ace Pakistani speedster Haris Rauf had a magnificent start to his side's inaugural Super 4 fixture against Bangladesh in Lahore. After Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi dismissed Mehidy Hasan and Litton Das, Rauf introduced himself in style, getting rid of Mohammad Naim and Towhid Hridoy through searing pace.

After opting to bat first, Bangladesh got off to a shaky start, losing Mehidy Hasan Miraz to Naseem Shah in the second over. However, Litton Das and Mohammad Naim counterattacked, forming a brief 31-run stand before Shaheen Afridi removed the former in the fifth over.

However, Haris Rauf grabbed all the limelight towards the backend of the powerplay, as he made Naim and Hridoy look clueless against express pace.

The experienced pacer dismantled Naim with a short ball before castling Hridoy with an absolute corker. While Naim was caught after miscuing a pull shot, Hridoy lost his middle stump for a sloth-paced nine-ball two.

His twin strikes derailed Bangladesh, leaving them reeling at 47 for four in 9.1 overs. As of writing, the Tigers are 58 for four in 12 overs, with their two most experienced batters, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim, batting on 9* and 6*, respectively.
