Riding on pacers' commendable performance, Pakistan are in a commanding position in their ongoing Asia Cup fixture against Bangladesh in Lahore. While Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah rattled the Bangladeshi top order in the power play, ace speedster Haris Rauf got rid of Mohammad Naim and Towhid Hridoy with searing pace.

However, amidst Bangladesh's turmoil, one of the on-field incidents which grabbed the limelight was Shamim Hossain's audacious six off Shaheen Afridi's bowling in the middle overs.

The incident happened in the 34th over when Pakistani skipper Babar Azam turned up to Afridi to break the budding stand between Hossain and Mushfiqur Rahim. The experienced pacer started well, conceding only four runs in his first four deliveries.

However, Hossain stunned him with a huge six over fine leg in the fifth delivery, concluding the over on a high note. It was a back of the length delivery around the middle and leg stump line.

The swashbuckling southpaw made room by shuffling across and timed it to perfection, as the ball sailed over the fine leg fence for six runs.

Despite getting a great start to his innings, Hossain couldn't bat long, as he was dismissed by Iftikhar Ahmed after miscuing a lofted shot in the very next over. As of writing, Bangladesh are in a spot of bother, reeling at 190 for six in 37 overs, with Rahim and Afif Hossain batting on 64* and 11*, respectively.
