After a riveting ODI series, the focus now shifts towards the T20Is as Pakistan and Australia lock horns in the 3-match series, starting from today. The first match is taking place at the iconic Gabba, however, rain god decided to play spoilsport in the contest.

Brisbane witnessed relentless rain throughout the day, but the stadium has excellent drainage system and it worked magic as once the rain stopped, the groundstaffs did an excellent work. However, because of the time lost, the first T20I will now be a 7-over contest.

AUS Vs PAK Toss updates: All-rounder to make his debut

Pakistan won the toss and Mohammad Rizwan elects to bowl first. The rainy conditions in Brisbane affected Rizwan's decision as later on, DRS can also come into action. Pakistan have decided to give the debut cap to Salman Ali Agha, who has been outstanding for their team in the Test setup.

Rizwan is banking on Salman Ali Agha’s hitting abilities as Pakistan will need them while chasing against a strong Australian side. The all-rounder has done extremely well in the longest format as Rizwan is hoping that he can replicate the same form in T20Is as well.
