The famous Gabba Stadium in Perth is all set to host the first T20I between Pakistan and Australia on November 14. It will be the 11th T20I match to be played at this venue. Thus, ahead of the crucial tie, this article will shed light on the records at this venue.

It is worth noting that the first T20I match played at this venue was in 2006 between South Africa and Australia. The home side have been the favourite at this venue as they have won six times out of the nine matches. Interestingly, the touring team has won just one match.

Highest Total

The highest T20I total at the Gabba has been posted by Australia, which is 209/3 against South Africa, which is interestingly the first match played at this venue in 2006.

Lowest Total

Interestingly, the lowest total at the Gabba also came against Australia in the same match when they posted the highest total as the Proteas tumbled for just 114 runs.

Highest Individual Total

A batter is yet to score a century at the Gabba as Australia's Damien Martyn came close in 2006 against the Proteas when he scored 96.

Best Bowling Figures

Mitchell Starc holds the record for the best bowling figure as he registered a four-wicket haul against West Indies on October 7, 2022.

Highest Run Chase

The highest run-chase at the Gabba has been 161/4 by Australia against South Africa in 2009. However, the team batting first have won eight times and the team batting second three.

It is worth noting that two T20I matches have been abandoned at the Gabba in 2022 and the Pakistan-Australia first T20I is on course to become the third match as heavy rain and lightning has delayed the start of the match.
