Prominent Indian batter Shubman Gill had a forgettable outing in the ongoing third Test against Australia at The Gabba, being dismissed for a single-digit score in the high-voltage affair. Coming at number three, Gill managed a solitary run, with Mitchell Starc getting his prized scalp with a full-length delivery.
The incident occurred in the third over of India's first innings when Gill had just joined KL Rahul in the middle following Yashasvi Jaiswal's casual dismissal. However, before the batter could do any damage, Starc sent him packing, outfoxing him with a beauty.
From over the wicket, the left-arm pacer bowled a full-length delivery that went away from Shubman Gill after pitching outside the off stump. However, the Indian batter was lured onto an expansive drive and paid the price for playing away from his body.
His reckless shot resulted in a thick outside edge, with Mitchell Marsh's stunning diving catch in the slips leading to his downfall. Thus, Gill, who was expected to bail India out with a significant knock, fell prey to Starc for a single run.

At the time of writing, the visitors were 19 for two, with Rahul and Kohli batting on 11* and 2*, respectively.
